The Air Jordan 9 (IX) Retro - (White / Black - True Red) are exact copies of the 2002 retros, and released on March 15, 2008. They feature a white synthetic leather upper with a black base around the bottom of the upper, as well as an all black midsole and white outsole. The bottom of the shoe is very detailed , and features different inspirational words, all in different languages. The Air Jordan 9 (IX) is a high top which protects the ankle, but also consists of features such as a dynamic - fit inner bootie, a one pull lacing system, large volume air- sole unite in the heel, an encapsulated air- sole unit in the forefoot, and a polyurethane midsole.
